Milestone #1---- 2/12/07

Milestone 1

*Imagery storyboard
why these?
A person continually walking through these contrasting locations which are lapsing, is to create a sense of time and movement. The video will be looping so the person ultimately does not end up anywhere specific.
the relation: Constructing a projection surface of staggered mirrors and transparent surfaces will allow the viewer to not only see the video butto see themselves. This will evoke contemplation or "second thoughts" from the viewer about their own self and their life direction.

*testing of surfaces
what i found
white wall, mirrors, glass/windows (earlier post)
what i plan to use (mockup)
*promotional plan
posters, postcards, mass e-mails

Projection surface tests

These are images from round one of testing different surfaces to project video.

This first image is on a curtain, nothing fancy, rather boring which provoked other ideas.

This image is the projector facing a mirror which produces an inverted image on the back wall. The mirror also projects onto the adjacent wall, creating an interesting/skewed image.

This last image was a projection through a window. This created very interesting aesthetics. A couple different things happened when doing this: one, a double image appeared, a reflection on the glass and the screen that was behind it. And two, the video could also be seen from the street outside.
